"Providing opportunities for successful homeownership and strong communities..."

NeighborWorks® HomeOwnership Center Sacramento Region, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization was created in 1987 to revitalize the community. Our mission is "Providing opportunities for successful homeownership and strong communities through quality education, affordable lending, supportive partnerships and dedicated leadership." We use programs and revitalization strategies that will effectively increase and preserve homeownership, improve the condition, health and safety of existing homes, develop quality affordable housing, and empower residents through education and collaboration.

Our core purpose and strategies revolve around increasing homeownership and revitalizing neighborhoods. We believe that strong, thriving communities help residents enjoy a better quality of life and that homeownership, education and leadership support healthy communities. We believe that homeownership is a key component to building and sustaining a healthy stable neighborhood. New homeowners begin to build wealth through equity and adding to the economic strength of the community through their investment.
