Blue Bungalow
3324 43rd Street, Sacramento, CA
The "Blue Bungalow" was an aging home that NeighborWorks® HomeOwnership Center Sacramento Region relocated, renovated and now has for sale at an affordable price. Sacramento Housing & Redevelopment Agency (SHRA) partnered with NeighborWorks® by donating the bungalow and providing funding for the relocation and rehabilitation of the home. The project demonstrates the successful outcome for the neighborhood that resulted from a good partnership between the City, NeighborWorks®, and SHRA and reflects the creative and positive steps taken to offer affordable homeownership opportunities for families in the Sacramento area.

Jay & Gee Market Project

The Jay and Gee Market is located at 4300 8th Avenue. In June 2007 NeighborWorks® Sacramento initiated discussions with the owners of the market for possible acquisition. In April 2008 NeighborWorks® and the owner of the property entered into a purchase agreement. It is the intent of NeighborWorks® to apply for a zoning change from commercial to residential and to refurbish the property to sell as a home to a qualified low-moderate income homebuyer at an affordable price. The acquisition and conversion of the Jay & Gee Market will assist in creating a healthy and sustainable community within the Oak Park area.
