Preparing for HomeOwnership
Utilizes the "Realizing the American Dream" curiculum, a 5-chapter common sense approach to homeownership published by American's Banker Association, National Foundation for Consumer Credit and to NeighborWorks® America. The afternoon focues on home maintenance & preserving homeownership, illustrating do-it-yourself, preventive maintenance procedures, what to know before hiring a contractor, home safety, good neighbor training, and foreclosure prevention.

Basic overview of the home buying process with a review of affordable loan products, importance of credit history, and an affordability assessment to help determine how much home you can afford.
